Elinor has a winning formula: juggling her time claiming world titles on the track alongside riding as a key member of Team Uno-X on the road, and Mum. 

 

A chance sighting of the Maindy Flyers Cycling Club, while on her way to a swimming class in her home town of Cardiff, led 10-year-old Elinor to turn her back on the pool in favour of the velodrome and set her on the way to becoming a World, Commonwealth, European and Olympic Champion and a World Record holder by only 22 years old.

 

Elinor quickly made her name as a Team Pursuit specialist, winning world titles in 2013 and 2014 and gold in Rio 2016. Success continued with multiple European, World and Commonwealth medals including silver in the Team Pursuit at the Tokyo Olympics. 

 

In late 2021 Elinor announced she was pregnant with her first child, alongside her decision to move to the road and join the newly formed Women's WorldTour road team, Uno-X. Little Nico was born in March 2022, and within 5 months of giving birth Elinor was back in the peloton and being competitive.

 

In 2023, Elinor rode to 7th place at Gent Wevelgem, 3rd in the Nationals ITT and 4th in the Road Race - all just over a year from having Nico. The track season was equally as commendable with a double gold at the World Championships in Glasgow.

 

There was no stopping Elinor who followed this up with a silver and bronze at the Paris Olympics, and continues to perform as a key member of the team on the road with Uno-X.
